Ingredients
- 2 cups Water
- 2 Black tea bags or 1 tbsp loose-leaf black tea
- 1 Apple, thinly sliced
- 2 Cinnamon sticks
- 1/4 Tsp Ground nutmeg
- 1 Star anise pod
- Maple syrup
What to do with them...
- Add the apple slices, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, and star anise pod into a saucepan with boiling water and reduce the heat to a simmer. Let the mixture simmer for about an hour to allow the flavors to infuse.
- After simmering, add the black tea to the saucepan. Let the tea steep in the simmering water for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
- Remove the tea bags or strain the loose tea, and strain out the apple slices, cinnamon sticks, and star anise. If desired, add maple syrup or your preferred sweetener to taste.
- Serve it up!
