Ingredients
- 6 uncooked brautwurst sausages
What to do with them...
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure your oven rack is in the center position.
- Cover your baking sheet with foil. (A casserole dish or baking pan also works well.) If you're using a baking sheet, preheat it as the oven heats up.
- Place the bratwurst on the baking sheet, allowing plenty of space in between.
- Bake the bratwurst on one side for 10 minutes.
- Flip the brats and cook on the other side for 5 to 7 minutes (until browned).
- Quick Note: If you’re cooking the brats with other veggies in the pan, they’ll need 20 to 25 minutes. When cooked by themselves, the brautwurst cook in just 15 minutes.
After cooking the brats as directed above, up the oven to broil and put the brats under the broiler for a minute and a half or so, then turn them and do another minute and a half. If they're rounded on top they're done, if not broil for a little longer but keep an eye on them so they don't burn.
