This is from the website Savory Experiments. It's the best I've found and I've done some hunting :-) Jessica Formicola knows how to do a bloody! I reduced the horseradish from 1/2 cup to a 1/4 cup, and the same with the Worcestershire sauce. Up them both if you want. One large lemon gives just a little shy of 1/2 cup of juice. One and half works, and I've also done both a lemon and a lime, worked great.
Ingredients
- 6 cups tomato juice
- 1/4 cup prepared horseradish
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 2 Tsp Kosher salt
- 3 Tsp hot sauce
- 6 ounces vodka, optional
- 6 celery sticks
- celery salt or Tajin, for rimming
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine tomato juice, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, Kosher salt and hot sauce. Shake or stir well to combine.
- Either set aside and allow flavors to marry or serve immediately. You can choose to strain out large bits of pepper and horseradish or serve directly.
- Rim each glass with celery salt.
- Pour over ice in large pint glasses. Top with 1 ounce of vodka each, then stir gently.
- Garnish with celery rib.
